Dogs who have been un-chained
Fences for Fido began in spring 2009 with small hopes of unchaining one dog a month. On May 23, 2009, that was Chopper. By fall of 2009, however, it was clear there was much more need for our services, and our dedicated volunteers allowed us to jump to six fences a month, with a Salem group working, too! Thanks to our donors and volunteers, we have changed the lives of many and continue to change lives on Saturday mornings!
Please look through our 2009 or 2010 success stories to feel the warmth and joy brought to the lives of these dogs. Below are a couple of our featured successes.

CHOPPER
On Saturday, 5/23/09, so much changed for dear Chopper. He and his human are now much closer. Never again will Chopper live on a chain!
COOPER
On Saturday, September 5, 2009, Cooper was released from a chain. He can run...like a horse and a butterfly combined!
