Operation Warm Springs-Unchained & Loved | ||||
| ||||
As a result of COVID-19, the Native Nations and Indian reservations across the country have been disproportionally impacted, both financially and physically. For that reason, Fences For Fido has committed to helping one of the hardest hit communities within Oregon, the Warm Springs Reservation. Yet, given the fact that our organization was unable to build fences for nearly 8 weeks, we have a significant backlog of dogs living on chains and families in need of help, both for fences and dog food. Most of the dogs waiting on chains throughout Oregon and Washington are on the Warm Springs Reservation, so Fences For Fido has created Operation Warm Springs-Unchained & Loved.
On Saturday, June 27th, with the permission of tribal leaders, Fences For Fido volunteers will build 10 panel fences and deliver dog/cat food to those families and dogs in need, all within a few hours.
