Nelson & Ginger Care Fund

Fences For Fido started with a simple idea: build a safe fence and give a dog like Chopper the freedom to live unchained. But over the years, we’ve learned that these dogs and their families often need much more—and that chaining is almost always a last resort. Many of the dogs we meet have never seen a veterinarian. When a family has nowhere else to turn, an unexpected illness or injury can become a crisis.

That’s where the Nelson & Ginger Care Fund comes in. The fund provides spay/neuter surgeries and critical veterinary care for dogs who might otherwise never receive it. It was created in honor of the beloved dogs of one of our angel donors, and today it provides a lifeline to dogs and families year-round, sometimes making the difference between a dog getting the care they need and going without.
